KATHMANDU: Most NCP ministers were not present in the parliamentary party meeting on Saturday.
Their absence was criticised not only by party lawmakers but also Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the PP leader.
Out of 24 ministers, 21 are from the NCP, including two state ministers, but only six out of the 21 ministers were present.
Only Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Ishwar Pokharel, Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barsa Man Pun, Minister of Finance Yubaraj Khatiwada, Minister of Communications and Information Gokul Prasad Baskota, and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management Ragubir Mahaseth were present in the meeting.
A lawmaker said the ministers feared party lawmakers would blast them for poor performance and greed for development of their own constituencies.
Ministers had been lambasted during the first PP meeting held on July 1.
